Lisa's Baby Shower

For "spring break"(I put it in quotations because for Chris it is not actually a break. He spends the whole week working on papers and outlining.) we went to St. George to help throw a baby shower for Chris's sister, Lisa. It was a pretty quick trip, but we were glad we could be there for the shower and spend a bit of time with our families. Chris and I had fun painting a toy box together for the baby. We are so excited for baby JessLynn to come and are so happy for Jeremy and Lisa!



CARTER IS BECOMING A "BIG BOY"
So the other day I tried to put Carter down for a nap, and he was very angry about this idea. I left the room and a few minutes later I hear a huge thud, followed by a pitter patter of feet, and a door opening. I was like "what the crap?!" I opened my bedroom door and there was Carter, pants off and blankets in hand. He not only learned to opened doors, but figured out how to climb out of his crib! I hoped that it was a fluke thing that happened during his anger, but alas, the next time I put him in there, he did it again. That's a long way to fall, and we don't want him to get hurt. I was really hoping to keep him in his crib longer, but we gave in and Chris converted his crib into a toddler bed. I've been stressing about him staying in his bed, but so far it is going ok. (Except that I have to lay by him while he falls asleep for his nap) I think I jinxed myself by telling someone the other day how well Carter is sleeping lately.


LAW SCHOOL UPDATE
Chris is doing extremely well in school this semester. He is currently 4th in his class, and just got elected to be the executive editor for the Jurimetrics Law Journal. I'm going to start calling him "El Presidente". :) Everyone told us that the first year of law school is the craziest and then it gets better, but I'd have to say that every semester it gets harder. Chris seems to get busier and busier as time goes on. This semester has been rough, and we are definitely looking forward to a break at the end of May.
