Last Swim of the year

We pack alot of swimming into our year here in Phoenix, and it's always fun to have friends come over to join us! (in photo: Heather,Alisha, Kristen, and Mindy) The kids have a blast not only in the pool, but playing some hide n' seek in the bushes. Us moms have a fun time chatting it up and getting some sun. Farewell pool... until April.

Fun with Sara

Every Monday morning Sara Lange comes over to play with us for a few hours. Carter and Sara have so much fun together! There are alot of times where Carter wakes up and the first thing he asks is: "Is Sara coming over today?" They especially love playing playdough, going to the park, and mall playlands.

Fiesta Mall

Burton Family comes to visit!

During fall break Chris's parents and Jeremy, Lisa, and JessLynn came to visit us. We went to dinner at Chase Field's Front Row Friday's. It was cool to eat dinner overlooking the baseball field even with no game going on.

Mmmm...lemons!

Loungin' and playing with cousin JessLynn

Grandma and Grandpa Burton sure love their Grandkids!

Gearing up for Halloween!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Burton for the Spiderman costume! Carter was so excited to be Spiderman for Halloween this year! Once he tried his costume on, he wanted to wear it all the time. We had to hide it till Halloween got a little closer.:)

We couldn't resist trying this giraffe costume on JessLynn! Sooooo cute!:)

Carving Pumpkins

The older that Carter gets, the more fun holidays become. Carving pumpkins was a good time had by all! Carter drew faces on the pumpkins and scooped out the slimy seeds, and the rest of us did the carving.

Carter and JessLynn crack eachother up. They have fun watching eachother play.

Fun With Friends at the Phoenix Zoo!
Sara came along with us to the zoo. They squished together in a stroller...for a bit. Then Carter got out and ran amuck with all the boys. He was especially excited that his friend Adam was able to come with us! They used to be around eachother all the time when we lived in Arcadia, and Carter remembers what a fun friend he is.

Petting the Stinky Goats

Two monkeys watching two little monkeys. :)

Hawes Ward Trunk or Treat

Our ward "trunk or treat" was lots of fun this year! They had a couple bouncy toys and slides for all the kids, and mini golf and other fun games to play. We have the biggest primary I have ever seen (and 4 nursery classes too!), so its always a huge turn out for the Hawes ward!

(yes, we were zombies...again.:)
Trick or treating in Marbella

Halloween was awesome this year! Carter had a blast!! He was running from house to house and enjoying every minute of it. We could barely keep up with him! The funniest part was he was more excited to knock on the door and say "trick or treat" than he was about getting the candy. He would yell "another house!", and sometimes would forget to get a piece of candy in his bucket because he was so eager to go knock on another door. He always said "thank you", and at times he would stand there and repeat it until the person would look at him and say "you're welcome".

We walked around quite a bit of our neighborhood. Carter probably would have gone all night if we would've let him. We walked with our friends the Langes and Noelle and her little guy Roman.
Yahoo fer a great Halloween!

Grandpa Lyman comes to visit!

My dad came down to see us for a few days, and we had alot of fun! Carter loves his Grandpa, and had a blast playing with him while he was here! He gave Carter a hat, and he has worn it everywhere ever since. In fact, he has to sleep with it on! My dad drove a Jones truck down, and brought a bunch of my old things that were still in St. George. One of the things he brought was my old rocking chair from when I was Carter's age. Carter loves sitting in it, and sometimes rocks his animals in it. Carter was also very excited that we had Grandpa's big Jones truck parked outside. He had fun sitting inside of it and pretending to drive. It was all good, until Carter left the lights on and the battery went dead. Had to jump start it when it was time for my dad to go. Sorry Dad.:) Grandpa spoiled us and took us to Chuck E Cheese (Carter's favorite place to go)! I was a little nervous because Carter was on day 5 of potty training, but he did great! In fact, I'm so glad my Dad came when he did, cause he helped Carter stay excited about going to the potty. I'm glad we stuck with it, cause I was about to give up. Now he is a fully trained boy!:) Playing games with Daddy and Grandpa! So much fun!! With potty training, we would give Carter a treat everytime he went. He would get an extra special treat (chocolate!) when he went #2. (...yes, that is chocolate on his hands and face.) Wearing Mommy's glasses, belt, and ring. He wears my old glasses around so much that people think they are actually his. We just had a few bad storms in a row here, which was fun... but it suddenly brought back Carter's allergies full force. Then he caught a cold on top of that. So I tried my best to keep my sick little guy happy at home for a few days. "MUSIC MAKERS"! A lady in my ward started a singing group for all the little ones in our neighborhood. Carter LOVES it! We get together every Wed. morning and sing songs, dance around, play, and eat snacks.
"The Octopus Song"...well that's what Carter calls it anyway.:)
