Pictures of our new place
Starting upstairs...
This is the guest room (which is obviously not quite put together yet). Carter likes to jump and play on the matress in there.
This is Carter's bathroom, which is inbetween the guest room and Carter's room.
Carter's room (He loved to wake up and get his picture taken. He thought it was pretty funny!)
Master Bathroom
Loverly new tile
Yahoo fer a walk-in closet! No more leaving half of our clothes in boxes:)
Master bedroom
Loft at the top of the stairs.
Behind the stairs and kitchen there is a half bathroom and our laundry room/pantry.
Kitchen
Family room
We've got a lot of space to fill and not a whole lot of stuff. Hopefully, (eventually) after I get some more pictures up on the walls it will look a bit better. I'd go nuts decorating if I could. Perhaps we'll just spread Carter's toys throughout the house, and then the rooms will look plenty busy. :)

Carter joins a kids club :)

I found out that the mall near our house has a kids club that has activities every Thursday. It is free and Carter absolutely loves it! There is a show where the kids sing and dance along, they get a free carousel ride, and free lunch in the food court!
I wish I would've gotten it on video, cause it was so funny and cute! Carter was laughing, jumping, and dancing with all his might. He wanted to touch the chipmunk so bad. After the chipmunk picked him up and gave him a hug, I had to take him away and put him in his stroller, because he kept trying to get back up on stage. He kept holding out his arms for the chipmunk to hold him again. After a long tantrum, he settled down and clapped his hands and enjoyed the rest of the show from his stroller.
The carousel was a big hit! He got a bit anxious and wanted to get off before it started, but once it started moving he loved every second of it! After another giant tantrum when he had to get off:), we went down and played at the playland and he ate a yummy corn dog. The whole thing by himself, of course.
When Carter escapes the playland he likes to run into this store. I don't know what the heck it is, but it has old army stuff in it. He likes to look at the jeep and little airplane. He points and says "vroom vroom".

Carter is free!
Carter is sooo excited that he is finally free to walk in the kitchen! It was kind of hard to get tile put in with a little guy around. We had to be careful not to walk in certain places for a while, so the only thing i could do was come up with things to do out of the house (like he was going to stay upstairs with all the fun things going on downstairs). We also had to eat out a bit because we couldn't really cook or get to all the food. Anyhoo, now Carter is spending all his time playing on the kitchen floor:) Tomorrow they start tiling the bathrooms, and then hopefully soon we'll be back to normal!

Our new place in Mesa
Chris is in his second year of law school, and so far it is crazier than the first. He is involved in the Law Journal, so he is currently writing a 40 page paper for that, along with all his classes. A couple days of the week he has to ride the light rail into school, so on those days it takes him an hour to get to school and then an hour back. So that sucks. But we try to enjoy Sundays and whatever time we have together at night when he comes home. Chris has also applied for a fellowship and some different externships for the summer. He is hoping to work for a judge this time or maybe the same place he worked last summer.
Our new place is in a gated community, which is awesome! It reminds me of growing up by the park in Bloomington Hills. There is a park, a pool, and lots of trees around the area. It feels safe, and its fun to have kids riding their bikes and scooters around the neighborhood. I push Carter in his little car to the park almost every night before dinner. He loves watching the bigger kids play football, and now he can go up the stairs and down the slide all by himself. Another thing Carter loves to do is go to the playland in the mall. I like this new mall because the play area is more set up for little guys. The only thing is, there is no gate where you enter the play area, so Carter likes to randomly make a run for it. I have to chase him down the mall and try to catch him before he goes up the escalators or breaks something. Fun.
We are getting some tile put in the kitchen and bathrooms, so as soon as it is all done I'll get some pictures of the inside of the house:)
