Carter Turns Two!

Carter had two birthday celebrations this year! We celebrated the weekend before with Chris' family while they were in town, and then had a little party on his actual birthday. With the Burton fam we got him a "Blues Clues" cake and took his favorite pizza to the pool, where we ate dinner and swam and enjoyed the hot tub together. It was lots of fun!
Chris and I got him a Magnadoodle for his birthday. He loves it! He really likes to color, and its nice to have a toy that can't draw on the walls or the carpet. :) Grandma and Grandpa Lyman sent him a gift, and he loved the card they sent so much that he played with it all day! Who knew a card could be so much fun?

On his actual birthday, which is April 29th, the three of us went to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. He was so excited he didn't know what to do with himself! He loved just running around looking at all the games and rides that were there. We were glad we decided to go, because it was really fun for all of us! What can I say, we are arcade people.

What a fun birthday! Now whenever we drive in the general area where Chuck E Cheese is located, he says "Bye Chuckie!" And we are look at each other like "how the heck does he remember where its at?" He definitely has Chris' memory skills. He is talking like crazy, and learning new things everyday.

Easter with the Burtons

Grandma and Grandpa Burton and Aunt Shari came to visit for Easter weekend. Oh, and "Toto" and "Jacksy" too (that's Coco and Jackson, some of Grandma and Grandpa's dogs). We had lots of fun with Easter activities! We went to our ward breakfast and Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Carter was eating the chocolate out of the eggs as he found them and leaving the eggs on the ground. We also had fun coloring eggs and eating lots of yummy food and candy. Carter's little girlfriend Sara was at the ward party:). He loves playing with his friend Sara, and they always play so nice together.
We went to Walmart and a fire truck was parked out front. Carter still talks about Grandpa and the fire truck, because it was so fun for him! The firemen came out and gave him a little badge and let him sit inside the truck. Who knew a trip to Walmart would be like Disneyland? .
