Lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Burton in Prescott

Last weekend Chris's parents were in Laughlin and wanted to meet us somewhere in the middle to have dinner. So we both drove a couple of hours and met in Prescott. They got a bit lost on the way, so while we were waiting we took Carter to a little play place in a mall. He had a blast in there! I wish I would've taken a picture. Then we all went to Texas Roadhouse to eat. There was a guy there who was making fun balloons for the kids. Carter got his first balloon--a motorcycle, and he loved it! And of course he had fun with Grandma and Grandpa too.:)
Carter is walking better and better everyday! It'll be weird when he suddenly stops crawling... but I look forward to it--I think it'll be nice.
Carter has fun playing with his friend Adam. The last time he came over they decided to hang out under the table for awhile. It was like their little fort. He loves being around other kids, and its so nice that he has someone to play with.

Playing Outside

We are making sure that we take advantage of the nice weather in the afternoons before it gets too hot (then we'll be living in the pool). Carter likes to play outside in the front yard. He walks around pushing his little wagon and has fun sitting on the grass (and eating the grass) in the shade.

This is kind of a long video, but he says "Mama" at the very end.

Countdown to the end of Chris's first year of law school! Only 3 weeks left! Chris is studying extra hard for his upcoming finals.

I'm still doing physical therapy for my headaches and have been feeling alot better. Its up and down and I still have my bad days, but I'm definitely seeing improvement. :) Yay, and here's hoping that I'll be cured soon!

Carter is a dancing machine!

Carter loves to dance! He dances all morning to his favorite Playhouse Disney shows, dances along with any toys that play music, and especially loves when we turn on the Ihome. And what is his favorite song?? He loves the Beastie Boys! Random. We've had him listen to all kinds of music, and for some reason he gets so excited when he hears the Beastie Boys.
GOOFING AROUND WITH DAD

Carter had his first haircut! Done by yours truly... scary huh? But its not too shabby. I just trimmed some of it while he was in the bathtub, and I trimmed around his ears while Chris was feeding him his night time bottle. Luckily his hair is so blonde and fine that I'd probably have to screw up pretty bad for it to be noticeable.

HAPPY EASTER!

No need for candy yet-- Carter had a blast playing with the plastic eggs all day!

HAVING FUN BEFORE BEDTIME

We don't get conference on any channels here, so we had to watch it on the internet. It was kinda nice though cause we could stop and start it again whenever we wanted. Carter had fun watching Chris lead the music.

CARTER WALKS AND SAYS HIS FIRST WORD!

Carter is now 11 months old. Its crazy that his first birthday is coming up so soon! We have had so much fun with Carter at this stage! He has grown to be such a happy and fun little guy. In fact, last night Chris said to me "I don't want Carter to grow up. I wish Carter could stay how he is right now." He loves to play, and its been fun watching him learn to crawl and walk. Chris gets home from school and Carter is sooo excited! They always have a little wrestling match on our bed, and have started playing hide and seek around the couch. It is so fun, and Carter laughs so hard everytime. I am so happy that I have the opportunity to be at home with him all the time. I wouldn't have it any other way.

VISITING THE MESA TEMPLE

Chris volunteered to help take down some chairs after the Easter pagent at the temple. We hadn't been to the temple yet, so we decided to figure out how to get there and then spend the afternoon as a family. It was absolutely perfect weather to sit in the shade and relax on the soft grass.

We had fun playing with Carter and his blanket (every blanket is Carter's blanket, because he loves them all), climbing on trees, and playing with the leaves. Chris and I hope to go back sometime soon and see the inside of the temple.
