Our little swimmer

Carter is swimming so well now! We tried out some arm floaties, and he's pretty much got it down. We'll be moving to Mesa soon, and I'm excited that we'll still be able to swim alot. It's a gated community and it has a community pool and park. I think Carter will love it, because there will be other kids to swim with all the time. :)

Our trip to St. George

Chris finished his summer job at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, and we took off to St. George for the first week of August. We had alot of fun spending time with our families and friends. We went out to eat to all our favorite places and spent alot of time swimming, playing games, and relaxing.

One day we walked to the Bloomington Hills park with my family. We were playing and having a good time, when it started raining. We started to walk back, and by the time we got home it was pouring and we were all soaking wet. Then we let the kids go out on the deck to watch the rain. They had their own little splash pad out there and had a blast splashing in the puddles.

With Chris's family we celebrated his dad's 50th birthday. We ate lots of cake, played video games, played scrabble, and went to the movie "Inception" (which was awesome). We all had fun, and Carter especially loved playing ball with all the dogs.

Also, Chris and I ended up going to my 10 year high school reunion..... Yes, I was talked into it. I loved being able to spend time with a couple of my closest friends, but I don't think I'll ever go to a reunion again. It was weird. People were still in their little cliques, and it reminded me why I wanted to move on and forget highschool. I think next time I'll do a reunion with my close friends and call it good.
After the reunion we went and got shakes with our friends (Carrie & Devin,Janey & Mark, and SueAnn and Kevin). It was fun to joke around and talk about good times. :)

This is one of my bestest friends, Carrie! Carrie, her husband Devin, and son Mason came swimming with us and stuck with us during the reunion. We were so glad they came!!

Chris's 28th birthday!

For Chris's birthday on July 12th, we went to the Cheesecake Factory with the Blais family for dinner. It was fun, and Carter and Adam especially had fun "washing the car" in our drinks. Good times!

After we got home and Carter went to bed, Chris and I played his new XBOX360 game. (We are pretty much addicted and play every night.)

Then later that week we had the Blais fam back over to swim and help us eat Chris's birthday cake.

Summer 2010

So I was sooo behind on this blog, that it was hard to get started again. But here I am, and I'm going to try and sum up our summer the best I can...

We had so much fun swimming with friends! We spent alot of time with the Blais family and the Wadas family. Carter loves being around other kids, and eating as many popsicles as possible:) Carter also liked to explore the yard more than staying in the pool, so I'd have to pull him in every now and then to cool him off.

If you're wondering about the crazy blue sun hat I'm wearing... that was my first attempt at sewing since the 8th grade. And yes, I am ready to go on a safari:)

Chris's parents and sister Shari came to visit us for the 4th of July weekend. We went around helping them look for a house in Mesa (which we will be moving into in about 2 weeks). Carter loved watching Shari and Chris kick a ball around, and learned how to kick it too. He is definitely an outside little boy. It was sad though. He started getting really cuddly, and after we went inside we realized he had a fever. He climbed on Chris's back and just laid there. And then he fell asleep in my arms for awhile :( poor little guy.

Carter's first icecream cone! And of course, he loved it! :)

When our landlords went out of town, we watered all their plants outside. Carter loved to help water the plants! And thought it was funny to get sprayed with the hose when we were all done. :)
